Come join our team in the beautiful City of Lakes! With an easy pace, affordable living and beautiful surroundings Sudbury is Northern Ontario’s growing economic centre and hub for sports, entertainment and culture.
Tennis is enjoying a phenomenal resurgence and we are looking for a dynamic and motivated Tennis Professional to act as both our Head Pro and Director of Tennis to help continue to fuel the growth of Tennis in our great City.
The Sudbury Indoor Tennis Centre is the only indoor tennis facility in Northern Ontario, with four indoor and one outdoor court. SITC runs programs year-round, including an active junior program, an after-school Tennis Academy and a variety of train and play programs and clinics for members and the public.
Ideal for an entrepreneurial tennis professional who is willing to work to help grow tennis across Northern Ontario, including through partnerships with surrounding Communities and other outreach programs with the support of strong leadership, management and an influential member base.
Wages and Income Opportunities:
The SITC can provide a base annual salary of $60,000 in return for approximately thirty hours per week of group lessons, summer and PD day camps, special events, program development and tournament organization. A well enrolled three day a week after-school Academy offers a revenue sharing model and room to grow income as the program continues to grow. In addition, the Club Pro will be able to tap into robust demand for additional private lessons that could easily provide a similar amount and likely more in additional income.
The new Head Pro would be strongly encouraged to help to develop an in-school and school field trip lesson program that presents a significant and untapped opportunity for additional revenues. While not a pre-requisite there is also the opportunity to revive a small pro shop of Tennis merchandise sales and racket services for further additional revenue.
Other benefits such as Vacation and allowances for Continued Professional Development would apply.
